THIS IS MY 2ND PAIR OF SALOMON WALKING BOOTS. FIRST PAIR LASTED ME FOR 10 YEARS, SO HAD NO DOUBTS ABOUT THE QUALITY. THOUGHT I MAY HAVE TO WEAR THESE IN A LITTLE BEFORE A LONG WALK IN THE PEAKS, BUT THESE ARE EXTREMELY COMFI AND DON'T REQUIRE WEARING IN AT ALL. I HAVE TRIED LOTS OF BOOTS ON AND THESE FIT AND LOOK FANTASTIC, LOVELY BOOT, THANK YOU SALOMON!

Great fit, comfy like slippers
I bought these boots to replace a pair of Brasher Leather boots, and I have been converted. They are so comfy and can only be likened to walking in slippers, I had no need to wear them in and love them. The only reason i have given them 4* instead of 5* is that after 5 wears they are having to be sent back as the lace holder snapped clean off after only 6 wears. I will happily have a replacement as they are so nice. They are light but tough and a great all rounder for someone looking for a hiking boot. The design is particularly clever as the laces are held in place and tight even if they un do themselves.
