I did a trawl around the web before I bought these because even though I already own a pair of Meindl hiking boots, these are a somewhat different proposition. I saw nothing but good, so I ordered a pair.

They are heavenly. I am a six but like to cushion my feet with plenty of sock support so I ordered a six-and-a-half and that was just the way to go for wearing my usual two pairs of hiking socks.

I took them out for an hour-long walk the day they arrived just to get the feel of them, and they were instantly terrifically comfortable. The next day I had to take a walking tour in town so I wore them continually for just under seven hours with few breaks. No aches, pains or blisters. Very pleasing.
