great shoe, very poor amazon support
Note if you are ordering this that the Amazon size chart says a 7.5UK will give you a 40.5 European. This is not the case as the shoe received does not display a UK size but is 41.5 European. Amazon gave me a freepost voucher to return the item. I asked them if I could go by that size chart to re-order another shoe and they recommended I wait until they check the stock before ordering even though I highlighted that there was only 1 pair left. By the time amazon responded the last pair was sold out and no more were left in my size in any style. So I wouldn't want to fault the shoes which look fantastic, but surely there are better places to order than Amazon who have not given accurate sizings.

Shimano Cycling Shoes
These are the first pair of clipless cycling shoes I have owned and I would highly recommend them. They are comfortable, easy to set up and despite a couple of comedy slow motion falls when I've forgotten to unclip my feet, they are not too difficult to get to grips with.

The recessed cleats do help with walking in these shoes, but the medal cleats do still strike the floor and so whilst they are fine for walking in for short distances you wouldn't want to have to walk any considerable way.

I have size 10 feet and went for the 9.5 sized shoes. They are just big enough and have become a better fit as they have stretched ever so slightly with use.

If you want to change to a clipless pedal system these shoes are an excellent starter pair.

7 Months on.
Well. It's been 7 months since I purchased these and they have only covered around 150miles so far, but the seem to be holding up well. I'm a fair weather rider so have not used them much over the winter. They seem to be wearing well.

The problem I noticed is that sometimes the cleats come loose from constantly getting out of the pedals. It's not that hard to check and should only need to be done once every ride. Just cleat check into your pre-ride checks. Breaks, tire pressures, clothing comfortability, obvious signs of damage and then get the allen key out and give each cleat screw a tweak as it can be quite dangerous trying to get out of the pedals with a loose cleat.

The shoes feel quite durable and the velcro holds fast. My feet feel snug and secure once inside and there is no fear of my feet popping out of them.

Rain wise I would say a short shower is all they can take. I got caught out in a torrential downpour and my feet got soaked through...

good product - sizing could be more straightforward
Having had Sidi shoes before I was pretty sure I wanted a EUR 46.5

It took four e-mails to Amazon to confirm that if I ordered a GB 12.5 then a 46.5 is what I'd get and that was indeed what was delivered.

If it helps: the box says EUR 46.5, US 11.75, CM 28.25 - not sizes I would generally think of as a UK 12.5. In addition I wear a UK 10.5 - 11 in a street shoe but know from experience that Sidi sizes are more 'fitted'.

Happy with the shoes, happy with the price - if Amazon listed the EUR size used by the manufacturer it would make the process that bit easier.
