Best running shoes I've ever purchased!
The Minimus MR00 is a recent release from New Balance and is their first zero drop road shoe. This means the height difference is the same between the front of the shoe and the back of the shoe. Most running shoes have a drop of 8mm to 12mm between the heal and the front of the shoe encouraging a heal strike. This zero drop results in a more natural forefoot strike. It is a minimalist running shoe meaning the amount of cushioning provided is small. This shoe is not designed for every runner and should only be bought by runners who are midfoot/forefoot strikers or who intend to change their running style.

I am a natural forefoot striker and have ran for years in shoes that have a heal designed for heal striking due to manufactures designing shoes in this way. This has annoyed me because of the added weight and cushioning I don't need. Running shoes cause my feet to over-pronate, and as a result I end up running with my feet pointing slightly outwards.

Chafing from edge on the sole
At first I was very pleased with the shoes but now the edge where the upper is sown to the sole is making my right foot hurt so much that I won't use them anymore. There is a 1 mm edge all around the sole, under a synthetic fabric which I suppose is there for comfort. It works for my left foot, but not the right. Another problem for me is that my toes on the right foot kinda hooks up in the reflective stripe over the toebox, not nice. I have mostly used them for walking and short runs, and if it weren't for the chafing on my right foot I would definitly use them, but still not recommend them.
