Hi-Tec Cascadia
When I got my Hi-Tec Cascadia I could hardly wait for lunch time to try them. At first I found them a bit stiff at the ankle, however, after a few days, ended up adapting to my feet and today (two weeks after daily use) I find them very comfortable and lightweight.
I've had to go to the mountain with them, and they passed the mud, water and stone tests. And much to my surprise, despite being on tissue, wash them is very easy.
I am very pleased with my purchase.
Wet feet and disappointed of Somerset
I have had these boots for a little over a year, typically I walk every day for 30 mins or so on a small range of hills just off the Somerset levels and on the levels themselves. It's not extreme hiking, far from it. Some of it is on tracks, some on the road and some on grassland and fields. I bought the boots in Feb 2011 and my main gripe with them is they leak. The damp feet started just after the cold winter of 2011 and as the summer progressed my feet became wetter to the point they are now unwearable. There is a gap between the upper and the sole. The seal has broken on both boots at the ball of the feet where the leather/plastic meets the sole on both sides of the boot. At this point the sole flexes and pulls away from the plastic/leather and water gets in. Sorry but it's not good enough.
