Chaco sandals - best fit sandals ever!
I was so delighted this season to find Chaco sandals available in the UK without having to pay international shipping and import duties! I discovered Chaco in the US in the late 90s and haven't bought any other brand of sandals since.

I have flat feet and usually wear orthotics in my shoes but I can wear these sandals all summer with very few ill-effects. Also, if your feet have a tendency to swell in the heat then the single pull-through strap allows you to adjust the fit really easily as the day wears on. I don't really use them in extreme conditions but I can confirm they hold your feet really securely, provide excellent arch-support, and never chafe as there are no straps around your toes at all. They provide good grip in the wet and, while some of the other styles have quite a rough surface to the footbed, these are nice and smooth and don't abrade the sole of my foot.

I recommend them wholeheartedly if you want a good supportive sandal that you can wear...

Not for bunions
Bought this because of the arch support, but because I have bunions made worse by arthritis, the front strap cut across the bunion. My foot didn't sit properly in this shoe. Had to return. was refunded within about 5 days. Thank you Amazon.

Waterproof nubuck but the shoes have air holes in the sides?
I ordered the olive which is a lovely colour. For an athletic shoe they look good with the exception of the front bumper which is black plastic and spoils the overall appearance of the shoes-it also means that despite being soft leather the front of the shoe can't give just where I needed a little bit of extra room. I'm a C-D fit and found the toe area a bit too cramped so would be perfect on a standard size 7 foot. Disappointingly the waterproof nubuck was pointless when air holes are punched through the leather all the way down both sides of the shoe to the sole. The shoe was well constructed with plenty of support and internal padding and a nice robust and cushioned sole but to call them waterproof is misleading.

Just to update I have now ordered the size 8 in the grey colour. It's a little bigger than I would like but does give me the extra room I was after in the toe box. The grey is a much better colour from my point of view as it blends well with the plastic toe cap...

Comfort for your feet
Have recently purchased 2 pairs of this trainer for myself and another pair after my friend refused to take my ones off!
Bought a size bigger as they come up a bit short, but the comfortable fit means you can wear them straight away . Keeps feet dry through wet grass, lightweight, which really suits me after a serious foot injury. Brilliant.

Rolling along
