I had been looking for a pair of zero drop/barefoot trainers for a while and in the end settled on these. The vibram five fingers were also an option but I was put off by the thought of standing in poo and it squelching between the toes.
I would run 3 times a week, about 5miles a time, and gym 3 times a week doing intervals, weights and kettle bells. Now I really wanted would love to run more but my knees would become sore, road running would hurt my hips and shin splints were ever in my mind, 3 times a week kept all this at bay.
Since getting a pair of these I have no issues what so ever and can run as much as I Like, sometimes 6 times a week and I do not limit my mileage. The feeling of the different surfaces under foot, especially when trail running, is fantastic and I always feel sure footed, obviously they can still be slippy in mud but even still they are good.

Great minimalist shoes
The shoes -- Zero drop, good ground feel, very comfortable. The sole is very flexible giving your foot ease of movement. I gave them a good test running up and down some very steep areas of the South Downs, the grip slid out a bit and my foot did move about a bit, but this was a very harsh test and they performed just as well as I would hope. If you are new to minimalist footwear then luckily for you these shoes have an easy to remove insole that can ease you in, once you are use to them with the insole take them out for a more minimalist feel.

Sizing -- I am usually a size 9, but after reading about the shoes on vivo's site as they advised I ordered a size lower than usual, but since it is free delivery and returns on this item I ordered both a 9 and an 8, the 8 ending up to be a better fit.

Unlike the other review about these shoes on Amazon, I really like VFF's and actually prefer them to these vivo's, however at a much lower price and not having to wash these...

Waterproof nubuck but the shoes have air holes in the sides?
I ordered the olive which is a lovely colour. For an athletic shoe they look good with the exception of the front bumper which is black plastic and spoils the overall appearance of the shoes-it also means that despite being soft leather the front of the shoe can't give just where I needed a little bit of extra room. I'm a C-D fit and found the toe area a bit too cramped so would be perfect on a standard size 7 foot. Disappointingly the waterproof nubuck was pointless when air holes are punched through the leather all the way down both sides of the shoe to the sole. The shoe was well constructed with plenty of support and internal padding and a nice robust and cushioned sole but to call them waterproof is misleading.

Just to update I have now ordered the size 8 in the grey colour. It's a little bigger than I would like but does give me the extra room I was after in the toe box. The grey is a much better colour from my point of view as it blends well with the plastic toe cap...

Have recently purchased 2 pairs of this trainer for myself and another pair after my friend refused to take my ones off!
Bought a size bigger as they come up a bit short, but the comfortable fit means you can wear them straight away . Keeps feet dry through wet grass, lightweight, which really suits me after a serious foot injury. Brilliant.

These trainers were recommended by a specialist for the arch support (even if I need to take the inner sole out and put my own in), durability and extra cushioning. Best women's running shoe
I did quite a bit of research before purchasing these running shoes. I run in between 35 and 40 miles per week in the gym and wanted good cushioning for my old joints. I bought a half size bigger than my shoe size from past experience and this was most definitely the thing to do. These shoes are extremely comfortable your feet feel very stable and cushioned no sore points on feet. These shoes are very light and well padded. I can't find any cons really and I have been running with them for a month now. I am delighted with these running shoes and I expect tht they will last me a long time. Well done again Asics.

Something is wrong with these
Had a pair of different K-Swiss prior to these. They lasted for ages and were one of the most comfortable trainers i have ever had. So i naturally stayed with the K-Swiss brand and choose these ones next. However something is clearly wrong with these trainers. I have never suffered so much pain in BOTH feet as i have with these. After 9 days i can take it no more and dumped them. There is nothing noticeable wrong and they feel fine when you put them on. On one foot it took the skin off on the back of the heal, never happened before with trainers, on the other foot it is causing severe sole pain.
