I had been looking for a pair of zero drop/barefoot trainers for a while and in the end settled on these. The vibram five fingers were also an option but I was put off by the thought of standing in poo and it squelching between the toes.
I would run 3 times a week, about 5miles a time, and gym 3 times a week doing intervals, weights and kettle bells. Now I really wanted would love to run more but my knees would become sore, road running would hurt my hips and shin splints were ever in my mind, 3 times a week kept all this at bay.
Since getting a pair of these I have no issues what so ever and can run as much as I Like, sometimes 6 times a week and I do not limit my mileage. The feeling of the different surfaces under foot, especially when trail running, is fantastic and I always feel sure footed, obviously they can still be slippy in mud but even still they are good.

Great minimalist shoes
The shoes -- Zero drop, good ground feel, very comfortable. The sole is very flexible giving your foot ease of movement. I gave them a good test running up and down some very steep areas of the South Downs, the grip slid out a bit and my foot did move about a bit, but this was a very harsh test and they performed just as well as I would hope. If you are new to minimalist footwear then luckily for you these shoes have an easy to remove insole that can ease you in, once you are use to them with the insole take them out for a more minimalist feel.

Sizing -- I am usually a size 9, but after reading about the shoes on vivo's site as they advised I ordered a size lower than usual, but since it is free delivery and returns on this item I ordered both a 9 and an 8, the 8 ending up to be a better fit.

Unlike the other review about these shoes on Amazon, I really like VFF's and actually prefer them to these vivo's, however at a much lower price and not having to wash these...

I'm now a barefoot convert!
These shoes are extremely comfortable and light. They take a bit of getting used to but now I have I'm slowly converting all my footwear to the barefoot style. On the occasions that I have to wear healed shoes they feel odd and unnatural. I must confess to not being much of a runner, the occasional jog is about it, so I can't comment on their performance for the serious runner. Certainly if you are unused to wearing this style of shoe you must be prepared to change your running technique and give yourself time to adapt to them.
The service from the supplier was very good and I was very pleased with the price. Highly recommended. Any potential purchasers may find that ordering a size bigger than they normally get provides a better fit.

Give barefoot a go
I'd read a couple of articles on barefoot running and was intrigued by the idea of going back to our primitive origins in terms of how we used to run and walk with minimal foot protection.
It hadn't occured to me that our foot was so crucial in terms of feeding information back to our brains about the terrain we're on and the idea that many of muscles, tendons etc were not being used properly and indeed could risk greater chance of injury by wearing a modern more cushioned shoe.
Then I did a bit of research on the shoes and barefoot running itself noting that this VivoBarefoot name or brand came up a few times. The shoes can be a little expensive so, conscious that barefoot running may not be for me as all the blurb on it says you do need to break yourself gently as the lack of cushioning in the shoe can be hard going at first, I didn't want to spend too much on them.

Warm, comfortable, love them!
I love Terra Plana's anyway because walking in them is so comfortable. I bought this one with some trepidation thinking it couuldn't possibly be warm enough to wear in winter but it really is. Keeps my feet toasty and dry. Thoroughly recommended.

Great shoes, but not terribly durable sole & get wet fast
I love these shoes to bits and they are my favourite to wear. I personally don't run in these shoes, but only use them for walking around inside and outside. Two small issues with the shoes: (1) they are not at all practical if it is raining out and would become completely wet if you stepped in a puddle by accident, (2) the bottom of one of my shoes has now split after about 8 months of use--was definitely wishing they would have lasted longer, so I'm looking for a new pair now. Despite the issues, I will still get another pair. I also have a pair of the Neo Hydro Phobic Mesh shoes...which do seem a bit more durable, better to run in, and able to take the rain...but I find those less comfortable to wear for a long time or indoors. If only there were a perfect match of the two. As it is, I will use the Neo's for outside predominantly, and the the Aqua's for indoors.

Vivobarefoot comfort!
These Trail Trainers look fantastic and fell in love with them immediately. This is my first Barefoot shoes and they are extremely comfortable to wear and I have had loads of comments from friends about them.... I have worn them quite a lot for walking and a little run but still working on my transition slowly. Can't recommend them enough
