Solidly built and Very very very comfy.
I'm usually an 8.5 UK, but a size 8 in these fits perfectly- possibly as they are a wide fit. These are seriously comfy and needed no wearing in. Some boots seem to rub / chaff in the early days of wear, but I didn't find that with these. These are a mid weight boot, a good compromise for someone wanting durability without the bulkiness of some other types of boot.

Beware the deceptive tread

Casual favourites
My casual favourites. I use them all the time except when I need something more formal, and then I miss them.

Very, very comfortable with a somewhat unusual fit. They kind of grip the foot at mid-length (just in front of the ankle, lengthwise) and are roomy in the front portion of the shoe. I have never experienced any discomfort while wearing theese CAT shoes.

Outdoors they give very good traction even on wet, slippery rock or mountainsurfaces and this is how I use them much of the time, at day-long walks in nature. They only have one drawback, they're not water proof, so rainy days I use some other foot wear.

Good, not great
The shoes arrived in good time and appear to be the type of shoe I was looking for. However, I was disappointed with two aspects of the purchase. Firstly, nowhere in the description does it say that the shoes are wide-fitting. I don't have wide feet, so the shoes naturally feel a bit slack. Also, the shoes delivered were not the colour ordered.
( I ordered Brown and got Beaned). However, the colour is OK so I won't be going to the trouble of returning them.

I really like these. They fit very well considering I brought them over the net. They are heavy to begin with and I advise other buyers to use them sparingly for the first couple of weeks so that your feet and ankles can get used to them. The most expensive footwear i've ever purchased but worth every penny, very comfortable but be warned their sizes seem larger than most, i normally take a size 10 but had to swap for a size 9 as they were much too big.

I bought these boots to replace my old pair which had become old and delapidated. I think I made a very good choice with these. I've had them a litle over a month now and am absolutely happy with them. Initially I had discomfort on the right boot at my ankle where the lace hook is but this has since resolved and no longer causes me any probs at all. They look great and feel solid and comfortable. I had no issues with the sizing as some customers have stated they had. I'm a size 7, ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly for me. One thing though, I wish I was able to know I could purchase the same laces for these when the time comes to replace them but 'Cat' don't appear to sell laces as a separate purchase. Maybe that's something 'Cat' could make available at some time. I use these boots purely as a day to day shoe and wear them everywhere. Overall, completely satisfied with this purchase.Cracking boot.

OMG they are so comfy!!!
To start with I have to say that I have odd feet (not odd as in one points forwards and one points backwards, just unusual) - having had major surgery on both of my feet when I was younger I just seem to have developed unusual shaped feet that find most shoes painful in one way or another. To put it short, I really struggle with my shoes. I get blisters everywhere and anywhere, I can't walk in them, I go over on the ankles, I wear down the soles in weeks......arrrgghh!

Anyway, I have done two power walking marathons in my current walking shoes - the first time I got a blister on the bottom of one foot but thought they were very comfy and the next time I got enormous blisters on the other foot and damaged two of my toenails so badly that they have just fallen off......my comfy shoes turned out not so comfy at all.

So - I ordered these shoes this week as I am going to do (well attempt to do) the Nijmegen Marches (4 x 50k walks in 4 days) next month. ALL shoes I...

Not happy with this product
I normally wear a size 6 shoe, so I ordered a size 6.5 boot to allow for thicker socks. Much too small, so ordered a size 7. Length not too bad, but I have returned these boots as I don't think they would have been comfortable for walking any distance. The main problem is the cutaway style around the ankle, very uncomfortable, and not tall enough to give any support for walking/hiking. Very disappointed.
