These are the only style of boot I've ever owned that have not given me blisters. they are waterproof, the soles grip well and the pair that's coming to the end of useful life lasted well. Disappointing
These shoes initially felt fine but just a short walk outside revealed a surprising lack of instep support and were very loose round the ankle. They look good and appear very well made and have plenty of 'wriggle room' for my fairly broad feet. I can use them with orthotic insoles but no matter how well I lace them it is not possible to get them snug enough round the ankle to stop the slipping.

Bought these a month ago and have lived in them ever since - my feet don't ache after traipsing round London all day. Very comfortable, warm, strong and supportive shoes. Excellent value too.

Brought these boots before Xmas, got them in time for the snow early jan 13. Wore them everyday and kept my feet dry. I would recommend these to the military, I'm army, they go perfect with the mtp.

I bought my Salomon boots as they came highly recomended, they were the most comfortable boots that I had ever worn, very light and giving good confidence on steep ground. A joy to wear all day with one pair of socks and great for hot weather walking in Crete, brilliant, would have awarded 5 stars. There is a but and it is a big one, they are falling apart after less than three years and they can not be repaired. The mid sole unit is de-naturing and crumbling away and as a result the sole and the uppers which are both in good condition are no longer joined together. A bit of digging about and it is obvious that the problem is not unique to me, LSR told me that it is common for this to happen and that they can not be repaired. I recieved a rude and unhelpfull response from Salomon UK, " they are out of guarantee, buy some new boots" and " you must have walked through some acid ".
