Brought these boots before Xmas, got them in time for the snow early jan 13. Wore them everyday and kept my feet dry. I would recommend these to the military, I'm army, they go perfect with the mtp.
The company were really helpful as there was a delay on the delivery, and the company kept me informed all the way. Excellent customer focus, would defiantly buy from them again

I bought my Salomon boots as they came highly recomended, they were the most comfortable boots that I had ever worn, very light and giving good confidence on steep ground. A joy to wear all day with one pair of socks and great for hot weather walking in Crete, brilliant, would have awarded 5 stars. There is a but and it is a big one, they are falling apart after less than three years and they can not be repaired. The mid sole unit is de-naturing and crumbling away and as a result the sole and the uppers which are both in good condition are no longer joined together. A bit of digging about and it is obvious that the problem is not unique to me, LSR told me that it is common for this to happen and that they can not be repaired. I recieved a rude and unhelpfull response from Salomon UK, " they are out of guarantee, buy some new boots" and " you must have walked through some acid ". Just Awesome.
I bought these boots after 7 years away form Salomon,after they decided to stop making the old X-adventure 7(the best boot ever),and i am soo glad i did.The first outing was 17 mile hike along a very up and down section of the South west coast path and they felt superb no hot spots,blisters ache's or pains.The following week we were of to Glencoe and a 3 day hike on the West highland way in reverse from Fort William to Bridge of Orchy and once again they simply breezed through rain sleet and snow, i simply cannot fault them and at long last i have found a worthy replacement for the Legendary X-adventure sevens(only time will tell if they are as hard wearing.So in my humble experience if you're foot is Salomon shaped you owe it to yourself to try these Awesome boots.

Avoid wet grass
Very comfortable and great boots in dry conditions. I have walked miles in them.

The first walk I did in very wet weather resulted in very wet and badly blistered feet. No bogs or wading was involved, just wet grass! The boots then stayed wet and took ages to dry with the result that they now smell rank and mouldly. Since then they leak even if you simply step in a puddle on the street.

So...if you are only going out in dry weather and are prepared to avoid wet grass and puddles, I would strongly recommend them otherwise buy some wellies.

These boots are the most comfortable walking boots I've ever worn. Great support and flexible too. I tried them on in a shop for sizing, I'm normally between a five or six but I needed a six and a half in these. Best price found on Amazon!

Great Boots
Love these boots. Instantly comfy, really grip your heels. Your feet feels like it is really making contact with the ground - in that the front part of your foot feels quite sensitive to what you are walking on. Not had them in wet grass yet so wouldn't like to comment on their waterproofness, but am fully confident. Will definately buy another pair.
