Sizing for ASICS a bit inconsistent
I've had Asics trail shoes for the last four pairs of trainers. I find them very sturdy, particularly the Trabuco, and very good for a mixture of road and off-road running. Nice and chunky on the soles and superb cushioning. I am a supinator/neutral runner and these suit my gait.

Not that it is particularly important in a running shoe but I liked these because they are not a ridiculous colour - why do manufacturers assume that women want to wear pink, lilac or baby blue trainers?

The only trouble I find with ordering online without trying them on is that the sizes seem to vary - I have previously ordered Asics trainers of the same style in exactly the same size as a current pair but when they came they were clearly at least half a size smaller - despite being labelled the same size. These do seem very slightly smaller than my previous pair but not enough to warrant going up another size.

I love Trabuco 14 trail runners but the material has changed
I love the Asics Trabuco 14 Trail running shoes... In fact, I ordered this one on previous experience. It gives support and stability, they are super comfortable, and I loved the idea that the material was sturdy. In fact, nothing has changed except that the mesh material and the inner lining seems to be flimsier than before. I wish they returned to the earlier material which seemed to be more resistant, and Gore-tex-like. If I've given 4 stars, it's because of this.

Other than this, these are great running shoes for trail, or mixed asphalt/trail terrain which is what I'm using it for.

Great value minimal trail shoe
Very pleased with this shoe, as I've been barefoot running for a while, and shoes do wear out and are expensive to replace. Nice wide toe box, good grip, easy lacing, easy breathing and good bright colour. (I do however wish manufacturers would get away from 'women's' colours and men's colours - I often hanker after the colour options the men's styles have!)

Best trainers ever
I love love love these trainers. I use them for strength training at the gym as well as road running. The first week of wearing them I had a slight ache in the balls of my feet, probably because they have barely any padding. But after that I have had no problems at all.

Coming from the Cascadia 6 I knew these are a great trail shoe.
There are minor modifications on the look of the Cascadia 7. All for the better.
With the new lacing system they hug the foot very well. With the cushioning the shoe feels solid on the trail but not so much that you don't get feedback.
The grip is great too. On both the soft/wet and dry/technical trails you feel confident. They do dry quick too and drain better than other trail shoes I have had.
I sometimes need to cross bitumen and these Cascadia 7 have no problem in doing so.
If you are looking for a pure trail shoe then you will not be dissapointed.
Colours are cool too!!!!
